In a few short sentences, summarize your intention with your wine blog.
I want the Tintoralba blog to become an integrated part of the daily business and practicing marketing at the Bodegas Tintoralba. We still have a long way to go though.
How would you describe your readers?
People who are looking for different and unique wines
Is blogging a professional endeavor for you or more of a personal outlet?
More professional, but it’s becoming more and more personal as I go along.
What tools or resources have you found to be successful in marketing your blog?
Staying close to what Catavino Marketing tells me to do, and writing about my personal experiences in the wine world. During Alimentaria 2008, the Tintoralba Wine Bloggers Dinner was a good example of how a winery blog can initiate a new kind of events.
How would you describe wine blogging to be different than print media?
Blogging is something you can do yourself, and the more you work with it, the more you start to create possibilities.
Do you believe wine blogs have made any marked impact on the wine industry or wine culture?
I think the impact is growing, although marketing through internet is still seen in a very traditional way.
Where do you see wine blogging in 10 years?
No clue, but I hope it brings the wine business communication much more dynamic interaction between wineries and consumers worldwide.
What do you hope to gain from this conference?
I hope to learn a lot, and to able to create some synergy between the wine industry and the bloggers.
Cheers,
Emilio Saez van Eerd
