When, where and why did you begin blogging?
I began Vino Pigro in May, 2006. Why? ’cause I love to write, and over all, I love to write about people and history, as well as facts regarding the world of wine.
In a few short sentences, summarize your intention with your wine blog.
With my wine blog, I don’t only try to give information, but also reflect, and to make others reflect, on the world of wine. I try to help people make culture about wine, and to exercise their own critical spirit better: this can only be possible only if people have more information.
How would you describe your readers?
Sincerely, I don’t know. Perhaps…only curious!
Is blogging a professional endeavor for you or more of a personal outlet?
Both.
What tools or resources have you found to be successful in marketing your blog?
Tools, resources? No: only good content (and short post)!

How would you describe wine blogging to be different than print media?
Freedom. Speedy. High specialization in different arguments; and the possibility to correct (my, your, our, their…) mistakes very quickly! This is why wine blog are different from print - or radio/television - media.
Do you believe wine blogs have made any marked impact on the wine industry or wine culture?
On wine culture (in general), yes, I do. On wine industry, in Italy sicurely NOT! Not yet, I mean. In the future…it’s probably.
Where do you see wine blogging in 10 years?
Perhaps in 10 years will have a R.Parker of wine blogging…a sort of guru in this media. But, sincerly, I do not hope so!
What do you hope to gain from this conference?
I hope to know others wine bloggers as me…and to teach from their experience.
Cheers,
Lizzy
